Here are my thoughts about all the movies after watching them multiple times.

I'll start with Warnis' movie. You used a song which I've heard in a lot of other movies I've seen before. However I don't care about that! Since I really like the song, and would maybe even try to edit with it sometime myself. Razz I think short movies like this can be the perfect opportunity to use “overused” songs and kind of get away with it. While in longer projects, you would probably be compared with peoples memories from other movies. And good memories will usually seem “better” than what you watch currently.
What I didn't like was that the footage was pretty low paced, which didn't fit with the fast paced music at all... but I guess that happens when you rush it and then forget about it! You will automatically end up with a movie without to great editing then. xD Hopefully you'll remember to set off enough time for the next competition, then we can get a better impression.

Ramzienator you used a song I can't recall hearing in any other movie, nice choice. The pace of the footage was good along with the kind of “slow” music. Which is normal for WoW footage, as it usually is a pretty slow paced game, at least compared to fps games. ^^
The good synchronizing between music and footage kind of ended here though. You put in multiple flashes of really strong, solid colors at some high points in the music. I thought that looked bad, to be honest. Effects like this are in my opinion near to impossible to make look great, and should be avoided in most cases. They can of course be used, but it will take a lot of time and they are really hard to get right. The choice of your colors for these effects made them kind of too visible. They didn't fit with the colors of the original clips at all. Some of these effects were done better than others, however they stood too much out from the original clips anyway. What I think is best to do, is to time these high beats in the music to the actual content instead of creating a random effect that suddenly appear. For example critical strikes, movement, camera rotation, a rogue appeared(!), you got feared! Just some examples that are not really related to the content used in this contest, but thats the ideas that I just had in my head. Razz Generally doing things like this will end up looking much better, but it does take a lot of time and you will also get frustrated! Smile In the end however, it is usually worth the effort.

Blukkie, I liked your synchronizing between music and footage, well done! It was a small bit weaker during the Arathi scene, I just felt that the footage was a bit slow. However, I guess it couldn't be avoided without drastic changes, as there would probably end up being a gap between that scene and the next one. You had some flashes I thought were successful, they fit well with your color correction and with the music, nicely done. Something I dislike is the high use of black bars going up and down in the middle of scenes. My opinion is that those should be as static as possible. While they are a way to get the viewer to view on specific things... I kind of just dislike it. Razz It is just very distracting in my opinion. I think it would be better to make the colors of specific objects more visible while fading and maybe set a blur to the unwanted areas of the frame. You actually did this in at least one scene which was very noticeable, and looked good. The black and white scene with only the trinket loading up in a strong red color. This can be done elsewhere also, but without the viewer being aware of it! Surprised If I'm right, bright and sharp colors attract the eye, while blurry and darker areas generally get easier ignored, I think... Razz

And for my own opinion on my own movie, I agree with Ramzienator. At least when it comes to my first scene, chaotic! It was even worse earlier though, I actually toned down some effects very much! But that doesn't matter of course. Also some not so well done coloring from my part, kind of did it as a last minute thing. I thought the original colors of the clips were to different from each other, so I tried to make them more similar. Not really satisfied with the result though.

Oh my god! What a wall of text! My harsh comments end here Sad Can't be arsed to spell check this, hope there isn't to many mistakes ^^

My vote went to Blukkie
